Music: Practice & Theory Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for musicians, students, and enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am new to this site and this is my first question so forgive me if this is a wrong place to ask it.
I wanted to know whether I could use the element song in my app. I mean is it free to use or is it copyrighted. I searched a lot on the net but couldn't find an answer, so I asked it here as it is related to music.

Most songs have copyright in them and you cannot reuse them without permission of the author. So in theory you risk being sued if you use this. You could try to contact the author and get permission or some organisation like Sabam that pays artists for copyrights. They might grant you permission (against a fee).
