Newgrass music as played by David Grisman, Darol Anger and Edgar Meyer is very different from bluegrass music. How do newgrass musicians improvise?

Is your question about the style differences between newgrass and bluegrass, or about what it means is to improvise generally? Both of those are on-topic, but for this question to be valid, you'd need to clarify both of those things. – NReilingh Aug 11 '14 at 4:30
Individual questions on either of those points would probably be valid as well. – NReilingh Aug 11 '14 at 4:31
Already have a question about bluegrass posted. – empty Aug 11 '14 at 4:33
