I've started playing the Bodhran a few months ago. I found some useful tutorials on youtube, but I'm now stuck, always playing the same basic rhythms.

I really like to play this jig rhythm (

), but would like to extend my jig rhythms. Can anyone suggest other jig rhythms I could play on the bodhran?

Without looking at your video (because im on mobile at the moment) I would suggest playing "down up down" for a 3 beat bar, so if you were to play a 6 beat bar you would need to play "down up down, down up down" resulting in two down beats beside each other. Does this make sense? Would also be worth looking into triplets for some fancy stuff
