Was wondering if people would like to recommend their favourite resources for learning the skills of a recording enginer.

Free online courses or materials are preferred, but favourite books or paid classes would be great too.

I would like to do more recording, mixing and mastering but don't know a whole lot about it.

@UlfÅkerstedt AVP.SE is the right kind of site, but this sort of question is pretty broad and would probably get downvoted. But if it were more specific ("I'm interested in the recording process, is there a generally-recommended starting point?") I imagine it'd go over well. – Warrior Bob Oct 18 '12 at 17:21
