Somehow I just feel like I'm limited when playing guitar. I'm into a bit of metal (core, djent n stuff), rock, blues, pop.. But most of what I play lately gets boring and when I try to be creative I just wind up playing something that sounds like well.. something I've already heard.

I'll be switching to drums a bit soon, but any advice on what to do about this? (same with keyboard too).

(it's been 8 years or so since I started playing)

Take a break. There are certain tips/tricks people will likely provide but I don't think any of them work, at least not for me. – Tony Feb 28 at 21:28
Actually I'm pretty inactive for now. (work etc) But still the same... But I do feel great passion for rythm lately hopefully drumming will change my perspective on music. – Ivan Ivković Feb 28 at 21:34
