How can I stop my electric guitar strings from rusting so quickly? You can also find stainless steel strings. Those might help too. |

What are some good slap guitar resources? It's in DADGAD -- I bought the tab. It's only $2.00 from his website, if I remember correctly, and is probably the OPs best bet for learning to play this. |

Where does picking speed come from? Forearm, hand, or bicep? The bicep is in the upper arm. |

I am bored with a metronome, should I get a drum machine? You might also try the free Hydrogen drum machine (hydrogen-music.org). I haven't used it in a long time, but I remember it sounding pretty good. There's a Windows installer available. |

Properly fingering jazz chords? I'm disappointed I've never thought to do this, it's a great idea. |

Is anyone able to outline the purpose of these controls? This is probably the best guess, but they could be phase switches too (or one coil split, one phase). |

In phase, out of phase pickups Brian May of Queen had phase switches for each pickup on his guitar, and used them a lot. |
