comment Learning Violin Online
It's the basics that form the foundation, and I would advise you not to take any risks with that. Unlearning mistakes is not easy.

comment What are good beginner books to follow for classical guitar (self study or otherwise) ?
+1. I do have a teacher, but he has not really laid out a structured program for me. Unfortunately, this is the best I can get right now. So yes, DVDs are helpful. I've looked at a few, including William Kanengiser's videos. But I still don't see any way around the feedback aspect - that can only come from a teacher.

I did not downvote, but the answer would be helpful if you can elaborate on why you think these books are good.

+1 for specificity. William Kanengiser makes a similar point here - youtube.com/watch?v=D9_KojGrlDk

comment Proper maintenance for classic guitars?
I am curious - why do you need to replace the strings every month or so?

comment How do you prevent injuries from bad posture while playing classical guitar?
+1. I exercise regularly. My job involves a lot of computer activity, so I need to be careful about posture there too. I already have some symptoms of RSI in my left hand - so I've become really careful about doing 'the right way' any activity which involves the hands and wrists.

+1. I've found the recording approach to be really helpful - catches a lot of small errors. I wish I could practice 4 hours :) - due to my day job etc I can only put in an hour every day.
