comment What does a grid with dots above the staves mean in a piano sheet music?
Anonymous downvotes are not helping anybody. What is wrong with the question? Why the downvote?

comment Why are the white and black keys on the piano placed the way they are?
+1 and thanks. What I was looking for a mathematical explanation. Although, as I re-read my question, I understand that it can be interpreted like you did and give an answer that focuses on the ergonomy. So, thanks! :)

@Victor Please help me out here, how would you narrow down the question? Saying that the question is "bad fit" is not helping me :(

@slim Yes, the question is broad, nevertheless it is possible to give a reasonably concise answer. I'm dying to get a similar answer from a folk musician. By the way, how would you narrow down the question? I am mainly interested in popular music, would that narrow it down? Saying that the question is "bad fit" is not helping me :(

@slim OK, I made it clear in the last paragraph what I am looking for. Is it better now?
