I'm a guitar coach based in London, UK. I've been playing for over 25 years and I specialised in blues, rock, funk and acoustic styles. I'm currently active in the London Blues scene and I can be heard in Niall Kelly's upcoming album "Hand In Fire".

Gunbuster, see extra edit answer as I don't have enough room to respond on a comment.

comment Does using an EVH D-Tuna limit the range of a Floyd Rose type floating bridge?
Hi Rafael, the Music Man isn't recessed, but it's the same as the Peavey. The Floyd swings back on it's base and 90% of it is flat on the guitar so doesn't really need any stabilizing. As Eddie himself says, because it's locked to the wood in its natural position, there's more sustain compared to a floating bridge.

Gunbuster, thanks for more info. I think you should also try and put a picture of the chord you are trying to play and demonstrate what extra strings you are fretting so we can see exactly what you mean. Your pictures show your index finger? Are you trying to play a C chord in the 1st position and your finger touches the adjacent open strings G and E?
