comment How can I tab by ear a song played on another instrument to guitar?
Yeah, I guess it is the style of music I'm referring to, but if what's playing on that song is a guitar, I wonder how they achieve that sound.

Thanks dude! I'll keep that in mind while strumming. ^^

One of the main reasons I bought a guitar is because of "Pinball Wizard"! I never knew Pete Townshend didn't use a pick. Thanks for that information and your answer, ^^

Um, yeah, it's acoustic, and I strum too hard, people tell me.

Hey, your "learn standard before learn the alternate" thing really struck a chord in me. I'll definitely do it! ^^

I'll be doing Sonic Youth and Pavement songs if you know them. :)

comment What do I need to learn before I can alternate tune my guitar?
A B C D E F G? How about the stuff in between such as the flats(b) and the sharps(#)? So would that mean if I encounter G it could return to A again?

Cool dude! Thanks! That's why it sounds different to me when I hit the notes at different strings but they're the same. The mystery is solved! Thanks guitar master! ^^

Would it make any difference though regarding plucking the same notes but with different strings? For example, the 7th fret of the D string would sound like 2nd fret of the B string right? Would there be a noticeable change in sound? What I really mean is if you pluck the same note from the bass strings(EAD) then the higher strings(BGE), is there a difference in sound or would they really just sound the same?
