Are some synthesizers and keyboards able to interchange sounds? @horatio: what is a "roll of film"? |

How can I make my keyboard sound like a Hammond organ? You may find it worthwhile reading a brief introduction to MIDI |

How can I make my keyboard sound like a Hammond organ? Stand-alone MIDI sound modules are good in that they don't have the latency problems you so often get with PC USB based solutions. However PC-based Virtual instruments have the virtue of cheapness (assuming you already have the laptop) |

What should I look for in speakers for an electronic keyboard Another option to look for are a pair of small "studio monitors". These are powered loudspeakers with a built-in amplifier intended for listening at close distances. They are suitable for use at home. |

What kind of piano is useful for beginning players and beyond? Many people recommend a keyboard with a graduated (or progressive) hammer action as being the most like a traditional mechanical piano. |

Electronic keyboard terms: Aftertouch vs Pressure-sensitive Thanks Alex, so is the reviewer writing nonsense when they list three things rather than two? Perhaps it is an editing error or something? |

Electronic keyboard terms: Aftertouch vs Pressure-sensitive The article said "velocity and aftertouch but not pressure sensitive" - If "pressure-sensitive" = midi-velocity how can it be veolicity sensitive but not pressure sensitive? I'm still confused |
