Want to learn Blues Guitar +1 for giving examples. I did not put 2 and 2 together to realize that the business mentioned in the question might actually be music/guitar shops. I would hope that anyone working in a guitar shop would understand the different nuances between rock and straight blues, but you never know... |

How do you strum an upstroke without striking an unwanted string? I generally agree, but exerting this amount of control is not practical for some strumming patterns, although in these cases the muted string should not overpower the others. |

Is there any way to find average of song's amplitude? Volume is not represented by wavelength. Wavelength is exactly what is sounds like, the length of a sound wave, which is influenced by frequency, or pitch. If you are looking for a measure of the average volume, you are talking about amplitude; however, I doubt that an analysis consisting purely of amplitude would be able to tell you with any certainty what style of music it is. |
