I play the double bass, electric bass, most brass instruments - with a preference for the low - and some other instruments, as well as sing (choir, รก capella and solo). I know a fair bit of music theory and arranging, as well as some musical acoustics. I have a huge crush on musical instruments in general. My main focus is jazz and related genres, but I find myself in other contexts now and then.

Why note B is marked with H in Scandinavia and Germany? I've seen the answer to this somewhere here at music.SE, but I can't find it now. Maybe it was in a series of comments. I'm pretty sure that the mistake-theory was supposedly wrong. |

In Apple Logic 9, what are “GM Device” tracks? I don't know Pro Logic, but I'm guessing that your MIDI files contain General MIDI instrument type information and that Pro Logic acts upon that. Guess this doesn't help you though... |

Getting a youth band to look up @DanHulme: Sorry about that. :-( I guess it's too difficult and not a very good exercise. I hope you didn't loose credability for trying out stuff. |

Is it possible to play a low A on a recorder I believe OP is asking for "trick fingerings", like covering the bottom hole, to produce an A below the lowest C on a C recorder (probably a soprano unless OP has extremely long fingers :-) |

Tuning new strings on an acoustic guitar Did you change to the same string gauge? Heavier or lighter string gauge might have an impact on the intonation, which could be your problem. |

Does bending the neck have any long term adverse effects? Looks like the neck of guitar in the linked video will suffer long term adverse effects. :-P |

Learning about electric guitars Regarding pedals you could look at music.stackexchange.com/questions/6602/… and its referred duplicate question for some guidance. Regarding wood material and pickups etc, you could probably formulate specific questions that would be accepted. You can have your ideas for questions "tried out" or evaluated on meta or chat beforehand to be sure you formulate good questions. Welcome! By the way, did you mean "pitch bend"? |

Is this note in Für Elise an E or a D? +1 Maybe change "and has D in almost every case" into "and has D everywhere but the first time and its repeat" to be more specific? |
