I'm interested in math, algorithms, and applications. Right now I'm really interested in grammar inference and Levenshtein-like searching for application to user interfaces and new types of programming languages.

Well, I don't want to re-invent the "chord wheel" - thats why I ask. It seems related to polychords, but the book doesnt go in depth into those. It seems to work for a 1-3-5-7 chord rooted at either degree 1 or 4 on top of the Bebop Maj scale. But Im wondering if it always works, or what is the technical term for this idea, so that I can read up on it without - like I say - rediscovering the wheel on my own.

Okay, so you're saying this could be a scale-specific issue of this book? I will look into that.

@rlo I am liable to run into the same problem within the book when using the Bebop Dominant scale instead.

It can't be a typo since it's done over and over, there are even 11ths, & 13ths for the Bebop Major. Here's a link to the book, please see it and comment: scribd.com/doc/28858352/Guitar-Grimoire-Scales-and-Modes-2
