Aiding the transcription of naturally occuring sounds. e.g. Horse whinnying, bird singing, etc Good suggestions! For an example, most renditions of Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" include a trumpet-produced horse whinny at the end of the song. |

How do we improve blend between male and female voices on the same part in a choir? +1 for a good, practical answer that emphasizes break-outs into a small group of voices to let the blend develop through listening. |

What does “TAG for Three-part voices” mean? I thought about 19 being the measure but it looks like the beginning of the song and is the opening line of the song so I hazarded a guess . . . |

What does “TAG for Three-part voices” mean? in that example? Seems odd to see that at the beginning of the piece. |

Effect of Rubbing Alcohol Upon Reeds I'm curious to know what is your source of information that says it's common practice to use rubbing alcohol with reeds? I couldn't find any reference to that and my experience as a clarinetist is that 1) reeds are not shared and 2) only water and saliva are used on reeds. |

Baroque Performance Tips Perfectly clear! I've heard that sort of ornamentational improvisation used in Handel's Messiah. Thanks for the clarification! If I'm not mistaken, that sort of improvising includes the addition of grace notes, turns and trills. Best of luck! |
