comment How should I dampen timpani?
@NReilingh: no, I really meant the different vibration modes of the head, see music.nebrwesleyan.edu/wtt/?page_id=183

comment How to properly tune drum heads?
@Stunner: Done... Unfortunately; I don't have a permanent, "official" link, but googling for "Drum Tuning Bible" should return something in case the link breaks again.

comment Where should I put delay pedal, before reverb or after?
+1 for mentioning that in theory, it doesn't matter.

comment What are the advantages of point to point (PTP) wiring?
I'd say it's exactly the opposite. Theoretically, there's a small difference concerning the signal quality, coupling and so on. The amount and sign of the difference depends on the PCB and PTP designer, it's possible to deliver bad designs in both approaches. Practically however, there is no hearable difference in sound.

comment How to convert recorded Piano music to midi?
While I strongly encourage the "by-ear" method, it should be noted that there is indeed some software that is able to decompose audio tracks to single notes. It's called melodyne and seems to work quite well for single instrument tracks, judging from the press releases. I've never tried it myself, though...

In your answer, you do not mention the most important part - WHY the maximum draw is just over 4A using the 8ohm speaker.

comment Why does the Dorian mode on C have two flats?
I would call D E F G A B C Dorian mode on D. The word "Dorian" tells you where the half and whole-note steps are, the C or D tells you where it starts from. It doesn't mean that it's based on C or D major, just like C minor is not using the same notes as C major.
