In December 2010 I started learning a bit of musical notation and theory on my own. As a hobby. And writing some little stuff in Sibelius. For example. I write mainly for myself but if someone wants to listen it is welcomed to do it, criticize, and comment.

This is to say that I know relatively little about music, performance, instrumentation ...

Therefore, I might ask questions that are about things that are basic, that any musician knows.

I am interested in writing mainly for acoustic instruments but it is not my goal to actually learn to play an instrument myself. I think it is too late for me to master an instrument. I didn't had the change to do it when I was young, so will let the computer and others play the music.

Still, creating music, writing it is such a wonderful experience that I can't escape the urge to do it. Thanks to computers I can now write my own music and listen to how it should sound. It is amazing how technology can open music composition from the realm of the gifted and learned to the hands of those that are not.

I get inspired by other musicians or by events in the world around me. I listen to something and then I try to recreate the idea I got from it. It could be just the first two notes of a piece. Maybe I like its combination and I start with them a theme that could turn out to be completely different from the one I listened to. My Huscrodalidas and the lily, came out in that way.
