I've been writing poetry for 20 years and more recently have written stories, with some 40-odd short stories in various stages of completion. I read a lot of books about words and language, and am a librarian, which might explain some of it!

What music notation software can handle this complex beaming? When you say muscript, is this different from Muse, which is what I use, though haven't checked the notes you need. |

Name of baroque formation with five musicians (soprano, recorder, violin, viola da gamba, lute)? Quintet's usually used for a group of 5, but if these musicians were just performing those works together, for that event, then there may not have been a particular name. |

What instrument can an old guy learn if the main goal is to write music When composing, it's a good idea to know the limits/ranges of each instrument so you don't write something they can't play! (it's happened to me) |

Best process to learn a new song are you talking about the music, words or both? You've already mentioned to do it in small sections which may work, maybe you need to experiment to find out what suits your learning method. are you mostly visual or aural? |
