Why is dropped D tuning used so often? @What - Was going to downvote for this, until I realized you meant [fifth chords]((supersonic.net/guitar/lessons/lesson-35.htm). (Which, it can be argued, are not chords--although I disagree, I've seen a chord defined as three or more notes.) |

Why do tube-based guitar amplifiers sound so good? @ogerard - I never said it was off-topic, it clearly is. I said that music theory -- mentioned in the question-- has nothing to do with electronics (such as amplifiers). |
