comment Acoustic guitar: How to stop right index finger nail from wearing away?
Holding the pick properly eliminates the problem for me, so I think this is a technique issue.

comment How do I tune a Ukulele 1 semi-tone higher?
@ReinHenrichs Care to elaborate? Ukulele intonation is finicky, and fretted notes are going to be less accurate then on a good guitar.

comment 8 under clef and timing questions
In Guitar Pro, you can write this as two voices: One for the half notes and one for the quarter notes.

comment What's the name of the “dual voice” effect in hip hop music?
It could also be ADT or a very short delay, or simply duplicating and offsetting the track.

comment Can the fan fretted design on guitars acheive pythagorean intonation?
Please don't vote to close; to anyone who understands intonation and knows what fan fretting is, this question is quite clear.

Trying to find you some resources, but r/musictheory is a good place to hang out.

comment What are the advantages of WAV vs. MP3?
This question appears to be off-topic because it is not about music, it's a question about file formats and music production.

comment Playing guitar with webbed fingers
This is a good thought, and it may be the simplest solution. But OP should be aware that while strumming and fingerpicking shouldn't be affected, playing fingerstyle or with fingerpicks could be a problem down the road.

Agreed, on a second reading this question is ambiguous.

comment Which fret do I place a capo on, to play Eb music using C chords?
@scrowler - Putting a capo on the third fret means playing a C chord form yields an Eb chord. D minor form yields Fm, Em form gives you Gm, Ab form gives you Cm, and so on. You can also put a capo on the 6th fret, but that's less optimal for some players.

comment Acoustic guitar: How to stop right index finger nail from wearing away?
Checkin: This is without a doubt a technique issue. My right index finger nail is now an indicator of sorts; when it's wearing away, I now know to hold the pick correctly. This is the best advice on playing I've ever gotten from this site.

comment Is there a name for the screeching sound made when changing chords on a guitar?
Flatwound strings also mitigate string noise, but the tone is somewhat duller than roundwound strings.

comment Steel-string parlor guitar - effect on tuning stability when changing string gauge?
Pre-tensioning: Is this stretching the strings out and letting them settle? Or something else?

comment Acoustic guitar, chip in rosette wood, how to avoid in future?
To follow up: I have been keeping the guitar in its case with a humidifier and have been moisturizing the wood, paying special attention to this area. Will have the chip looked at the next time I bring this guitar in for a setup.
