comment Which early danceband guitarists tuned to Eb rather than E?
The edit looks like it was an attempt to turn this from a list question into an answerable question, possibly leaving it open.

comment How should I control my voice while rapping?
This is really three separate questions. Point 3 is off-topic here, but would be fine at Audio Video Production. They'd (correctly, IMO) ask for more detail.

comment How long can I store shrink-wrapped strings?
Was it only this set? I guess it's possible you just got a bad set of strings.

@luserdroog - Thanks; have fixed that.

A sound sample would be helpful, if you have one.

I have indeed! Thanks.

comment Guitar Action for practicing and learning
Abnormally high action can make playing difficult. But, within certain parameters, action up to individual player preference. On acoustic, I find higher action translates into slightly deeper tone. Lower action also makes the guitar slightly easier to play (although not as much as switching to lighter strings).

comment Restringing a 12-string guitar with heavier strings - is it possible?
Did you have any tuning issues on the Danelectro? If so, how did you handle them? As it currently stands, this instrument sounds great but is unusable in any live situation; strumming vigorously for maybe a minute or two will push it out of tune.

comment What glue to use to repair maracas?
I've got to say that, as good as the accepted answer by @M.Werner is, this is more specific and even better; am switching this to the accepted answer. (I'm also glad I never got around to fixing this, now that I can try this much more specific answer.) Thanks!.

comment Why is B flat in this key sigiture when B is never played?
Speaking as a working musician who uses notation for traditional folk tunes: Your jab at "simplistic" music aside, modulations away from the basic key should be noted in the notation, either in this staff or other staves in the same work. (If they're not, someone did an incomplete job of transcription.)

It also tells accompanists to use chords that do not contain B natural.

comment Cajon as Alternative to Drum Set?
The percussionist in one of my bands uses a cajon, and it's quite loud. A good cajon, one with a variety of sounds that has an adjustable snare, can easily serve as the main percussion piece of a band.

Thanks, that's very helpful.

Already said: This sounds like a discussion question. @Luke - Editing how?

comment How do you start a regular jamming session?
This seems more like a request to start a discussion. Voting to close, but perhaps the question can be edited to be more directly answerable?

comment How much baroque music was derived from improvisation?
Certainly everything I've written, music and lyrics. Perhaps a better way to ask this would have been "how much of what we consider 'baroque music' is an improvisation that jelled, and how much of it was written in a fixed form from the beginning?" But I think (hope) that my point came across.

Definitely off-topic here, perhaps migrate to Audio-Video Production?

Is this is a recent development, it sounds like a fret wear problem. At least you know which frets you use the most now!

This is off-topic here, I believe. Perhaps migrate it to the AVP site?
