Is it really necessary to have your thumb on the back of the guitar neck? Sometimes, it's considered polite to hold off on accepting an answer until at least 24 hours after you ask a question. No judgement, and Matt's answer is decidedly fine. But this community lives across a lot of time zones and as a matter of courtesy, the lifespan of an un-accepted question should accommodate them all. |

Recycling guitar strings @Matt - and if he was only interested in recycling metal, why bother asking here? Why not just collect them and send or bring them to any metal recycling establishment? I think that the tacit intention was to reuse them as guitar strings, regardless of the use of the word "recycling." |
