Piggott, though perhaps not quite to be trusted. He regards 12-TET as the only tuning worth its salt, and refers to Japanese music's "superfluous quarter-tones"! [He wasn't much liked by those who knew him. (uniset.ca/naty/maternity/piggott_odnb.html)]. The two shorter articles correct his. The one by C.G. Nott on p.373 is excellent.
