I don't wanna sound stupid, and sorry if my question is stupid but I've only had a guitar for 4 days now.

I have been playing it for 3 hours to 3-and-a-half hours and a half a day causebecause I'm having a lot of fun.

I know nothing about music theory but I'm just following tabs.

As for now I learnt 3 songs.

Where is my mind from the pixies

River flows in you from iruma

And

I spoke to the devil in Miami from XX

  • Where is my mind, by Pixies
  • River flows in you, by Iruma
  • I spoke to the devil in Miami, by XX

I can't play them perfectly but at least I learnt all the notes by memory and now I don't have to look at the tabs.

I sawhave seen on various websites that beginners are supposed to learn chords.

Tried I tried them, and am totally hating them and- they are incredibly hard and frustrating.

Can I play music without chords or are there some songs where they are totally necessary and can't be substituted with finger picking?
