Also found this 2022 paper from a Chinese school of music: A Review of Western Ancient Greek Musical Psychology which traced a few generations from pre-Socratic until Aristotle's disciples. The Antiquity chapter of SEP's History of Western Philosophy of Music: Antiquity to 1800 is also helpful.
