Play fret 8 notes with finger 2, fret 9 notes with finger 3 and so on. In theory you can play this whole exercise pressing and lifting individual fingers on one string at a time. But the idea here is that you can improve your barre chord technique if you place finger 1 as a barre across all 6 strings at fret 7. then press and lift the other fingers to play the note series as listed. | |
