| Jun 16, 2017 at 9:45 | comment | added | theonerishi | Considering that silver plating is very thin, I would suspect that frequent rubbing of the flute with a cloth may eventually expose the nickel, possibly resulting in something which looks like permanent tarnish? I have realised that the silver polish cloth does not work for some parts of my flute and I wonder whether the above has occurred. I suppose it could be due to a bad polish cloth, but there is no easy way of knowing. | |
