Otherwise, as a transcription, it makes sense, if the key isn't known, to write in # and b as you go, and at the end, work out which sound like diatonic notes, and which sound like accidentals. Not easy with some music styles, though. I've written stuff thinking it's in one key, but by the end, it makes more sense in a different key. | |
