I'm looking for an estimate of the value of a guitar.

It is a Fender Stratocaster, serial number: H037097.

This website (https://www.guitarinsite.nl/serienummers-fender_eng.php) gives the following information:

  • Production date 1988-1989.
  • Made by Fuji-gen, Japan.

It's in pretty good condition but with some damage to the lacquer cover on the body where it is peeling off in parts.

All help would be appreciated, thank you. (Pictures below).

I’m voting to close this question because offering appraisals is not within the scope of this site. Rewriting the question to ask about how one goes about getting an appraisal would be a better fit. – Aaron Feb 5 at 22:43

Sorry this question isn’t a good fit for this site but you might find some useful info here: reverb.com/price-guide – John Belzaguy Feb 6 at 0:02

Whatever figure you find on a generic price guide, don't pay more than a quarter of that for one in such poor condition. – Tetsujin Feb 6 at 7:49

@JohnBelzaguy - fer shure ;) Hard to tell from the low-qual pic, but probably needs a refret too. tbh, I'd walk away from this deal if they want anything more than $£€ 50 for it. enlarged detail - i.stack.imgur.com/O6Zki.png – Tetsujin Feb 6 at 8:19
