I often listen to dolphins songing and note ced that it's mostly two octaves range they use and mostly short phrases. Has there been any research on what scale they use or maybe what notes are preferable? Maybe there is some pattern in there speech and singing? Why don't they create long phrases and have such a short vocal range?
