My private teacher is now teaching me vibrato, and she sent me home with a little exercise to do. SHe gave me one of those egg maracas, and she wanted me to hold it in my left hand and shift my hand backward and forward again. SHe wanted me to do it to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." I often find that the recording is kinda fast, and I can't do what my teacher is asking. Even when it's really slow. I have a tendency to shift my hand backward and go all the way forward. (you're supposed to go back to the regular upright position after you go backward.) I can't do it when it's slow or fast. I don't have any damage to my left hand, as I write with it and I also do other daily tasks with it. (when I do what my teacher wants me to do, it doesn't hurt)
