Not sure if this is the right stack site to ask this. I have a channel for kids in a non English country. We want to make a song ourselves for a video and we need an instrumental to sing the song with. I am wondering if we are allowed to download an instrumental from one of the royalty free sites and use it for making the song. Note that the song would be used only in that one video.

Also, I saw that there are instrumentals being sold on Amazon, can we use these?

I don't know if this is the right site to ask this either. But in general, it depends on the license of the music. "Royalty-free" music is ambiguous. Often it refers to music that can be re-used, even commercially, with no limitations. But some "royalty-free" music also contains licensing restrictions and expectations for how you're allowed to use the music (e.g., whether credit to the author is needed in distribution, whether modification is allowed without limit, etc.). When in doubt, contact the artist or distributor of the music for clarification.
