I wonder what would be the main difference between arpeggiated accompaniamentaccompaniment and counter melody.
Could it be the rule that if it's an arpeggiated accompaniament then itaccompaniment would be more repetitive (because it consists mainly of chord notes) than when it would be, whereas a counter melody that would vary more in terms of notes used (without sticking to chord notes only and repetitingrepeating itself as frequently as it would be in the accompaniamentaccompaniment).
