Background

I am an experienced Software Engineer currently based in Scotland. I have been coding since the age of 9, where I spent many weekend hours at my local library reading books on BASIC and playing with various 8-bit computers. Oh, the joys of entering programme listings from magazines! Spending hours typing them in, only to type run and watch it crash because of a typo in one or more of your DATA lines!

Education

I graduated my apprenticeship in 1998 with an HND in Software Engineering and also hold a first class BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science.

Work/History

With a background in embedded systems, I am currently working in .NET development on a cloud-based SaaS solution for the recruitment industry.
